Internet licensing for your church web-site

After years of discussions with leading musicians, producers and composers, our church and web leadership team settled our many ethical and legal questions in posting church services, including music, on the web. The WorshipCast License [click] takes care of all the legal wrangling, including research, royalties and ethics issues.
See the link on my church's site [click].
It does cost, but I urge you to look them up and consider using them for your ministry. If you subscribe to 'Musings of Rob & Troy', you likely share our love for godly, conservative music. That means your ministry is now UNIQUE and no longer common...I was told by a leading author and speaker on music philosophy that we in the conservative music niche need to let folks everywhere know we EXIST! from street signs that inform of hymn singing to web and blogs with music samples, your conservative music efforts on the internet, with samples of services & conservative repertoire, need to be posted for the 'world-wide web' to see & hear.WorshipCast by CCS

  1. Troy,
Greetings! Have been checking the site regularly and enjoy what you and Rob are doing. I hadn't thought before about the use of copyrighted music for church services that are then used on the web, radio, or television. Since we have a TV program each week, is this license something I should check into or does the station take care of that for us? I was under the impression that they handled any and all copyright issues.

Great thoughts on the need to make known the quality and character of our conservative stand in this area of music. "You still use a hymnal?" was the question I was asked recently by someone who couldn't believe there was still a church in our city who still maintained doctrinally sound music standards.

Keep up the good work, Troy!

  2. Troy,
This is something that we have been investigating also. I was not aware of this company. I'm on my way to read at their site!
